Come join us on the Hudson River! Registration for our fall rowing and kayaking programs is now open.

Newburgh Waterways Center (NWC), a 501(c)(3) organization, is reimagining waterfront programming for Newburgh area residents. We occupy the Ward Brothers Boathouse located in Ward Brothers Memorial Rowing Park at 2 River Street on the Newburgh waterfront.

With a new board of directors and a new director of operations (as of 2023), NWC is reimagining and upgrading the boathouse, grounds, and program offerings. The center currently hosts rowing and kayaking programs for adults and children, as well as the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary (Newburgh Flotilla 10-6) and Orange County Rowing Association, creating a single destination for community access to the Hudson River.

Our programs offer opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to get out on the river and enjoy the natural beauty that the Hudson Valley has to offer! Our programs are staffed by dedicated, experienced coaches, ensuring that everyone has a fun and safe experience.

We’re committed to ensuring that cost is not a barrier to water access, so we dedicate a percentage of our program revenue to a scholarship fund. Reach out to us at newburghwaterwayscenter@gmail.com if you’re interested in receiving funding.
