Newburgh Waterways Center, an umbrella organization of rowing and paddle sport enthusiasts and water safety organizations, is reimagining waterfront programming for residents of Newburgh and surrounding areas in the Mid Hudson Valley. The center occupies the Ward Brothers Boathouse, which is located in Ward Brothers Memorial Rowing Park at 2 River Street on the Newburgh waterfront.

With a new board of directors and a new director of operations (as of 2023), NWC is reimagining and upgrading the boathouse, grounds, and program offerings. The center currently hosts rowing and kayaking programs for adults and children, as well as the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary (Newburgh Flotilla 10-6) and Orange County Rowing Association, creating a single destination for community access to the Hudson River on the Newburgh waterfront.

Our programs offer opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to get out on the river and enjoy the natural beauty that the Hudson Valley has to offer! Our programs are staffed by dedicated, experienced coaches, ensuring that everyone has a fun and safe experience.

The center is dedicated to ensuring that cost is not a barrier to water access in our community, so a percentage of all boathouse program revenue is dedicated to a scholarship fund.
